What You’ll Do
This role supports the Wholesale Credit Delivery team by sourcing, preparing, and maintaining reliable data assets used across analytics, business reporting, and decision science. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Support development and maintenance of data sources for projects and business requirements.
- Learn and document critical application systems and data flows; transform data assets for downstream consumption.
- Use SQL, Python, R, SAS and other tools to organize, format and automate repeatable data solutions.
- Deliver ad-hoc data pulls and analyses; partner with senior data engineers for guidance and review.
- Investigate data integrity issues, recommend corrections, and identify trends and patterns in datasets.
- Follow security, compliance, privacy, and data management policies.
- Communicate effectively with core teams and junior managers to coordinate work and share findings.
What We’re Looking For
Required qualifications (as listed by our client):
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in a quantitative field (note: this role is titled Data Engineer I but the client lists this experience requirement).
- Some hands-on experience with data engineering tasks and managing small data volumes.
- Familiarity with data extraction and manipulation tools/environments (e.g., SQL, SAS).
- Experience working on projects with tight deadlines in a collaborative setting.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; quantitative aptitude and business acumen.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of experience in a quantitative field.
- Understanding of the data analytics lifecycle, including data cleansing and preparation methodologies.

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay: $126,268 per year (estimated).
