Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Data Analytics Associate to design and maintain BI frameworks, integrate and analyze large data sets, build real-time KPI reporting, and support forecasting and decision-making. This is a full-time, on-site role in Des Moines, IA.
What You’ll Do
- Develop data and storage requirements, reporting standards, analytics, and delivery methods that use consistent metadata and data definitions.
- Build, analyze, and maintain business intelligence frameworks that surface actionable insights.
- Integrate and mine large datasets from disparate sources to identify trends and pragmatic data solutions.
- Create and maintain technical specifications (data mapping, data flows, dashboard content).
- Design and deliver real-time reporting for KPI monitoring.
- Produce analyses and visual reports (summaries, graphs, diagrams) using BI tools and Excel.
- Develop and maintain forecasting databases/tools and present outcome analyses to business leaders.
- Identify process improvements and new opportunities for analytics-driven impact.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Accounting or Finance major preferred).
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills; exposure to Visual Basic.
- Hands-on knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
- Solid understanding of database structures, data querying, and developing data requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively; strong organization and time-management skills.
Preferred
- Previous SQL experience.
- Experience with a Business Intelligence (BI) tool (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Prior experience using data to forecast and predict outcomes.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation range: $66,100 - $110,000 per year (final offer depends on experience, skills, and location).
- Eligible for discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
