About the role

Confidential Client is hiring a Data Analyst to join their Data Team. This full-time, hybrid role requires on-site presence in a Virginia office three days per week. You will work with internal stakeholders to build reliable data products and tooling — dashboards, self-service datasets, and data models — that inform product, collection, and business decisions. The role emphasizes SQL and Python-based analytics, collaboration with data scientists and engineers, and exposure to geospatial and enterprise data workflows.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze and visualize data to surface actionable insights for product, operational, and business decisions
• Partner with stakeholders to define and track metrics measuring product and business performance
• Design, own, and maintain robust data models; troubleshoot and improve existing models
• Build datasets and self-service tooling using modern data tooling and version control
• Contribute to team collaboration through design discussions and code reviews

What You’ll Bring

• 4+ years of relevant data analytics experience
• Bachelor’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience
• Strong SQL skills for querying, modeling, and performance tuning
• Proficiency in Python for data cleaning, aggregation, and analytics
• Experience with git or other version control systems
• Familiarity with enterprise cloud platforms
• A track record of reliable, accurate analytics and working with multiple stakeholder groups
• Familiarity with geospatial data use cases or willingness to learn

Nice to Have

• Experience with the modern data stack (Fivetran, dbt, Looker/Omni/Sigma, or similar)
• Experience enabling go-to-market teams using customer and financial data
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud data platforms
