Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Data Analyst to join their team in Virginia (relocation required; travel expenses will be covered). This role is a strong fit for recent graduates or early-career professionals who want hands-on experience working with structured and unstructured data, supporting model development and analytics projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you’ll do

• Assist in preparing and cleaning datasets for analysis and model training
• Build, train, and evaluate basic machine learning models under senior guidance
• Support development of AI-powered applications and automation solutions
• Run model testing, validation, and performance monitoring
• Document experiments, workflows, and implementation details
• Research new AI/ML and data-analysis techniques and share findings with the team
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical tasks

What we’re looking for (minimum)

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
• Understanding of core machine learning concepts and common algorithms
• Familiarity with Python and data libraries such as NumPy and Pandas
• Experience with Scikit-learn or similar tools for model building
• Basic SQL skills for data querying and processing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

• Exposure to deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Academic, internship, or personal projects involving AI/ML or data science
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, or MLOps concepts
• Experience with Git or other version control systems
