Role Summary
Confidential Client is seeking a proactive Data Analyst to support analytics, reporting, and low-code automation initiatives in defense, security, and government-focused engagements. The role centers on data collection, cleaning, visualization, and delivering actionable insights using Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform.
What You’ll Do
- Collect, clean, validate, and integrate data from Excel, SharePoint, SQL, and other relational sources to support reporting and operational needs.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI (including data modeling, DAX, and Power Query).
- Develop Power Apps solutions to improve data capture and streamline user workflows.
- Automate recurring processes using Power Automate and other low-code tools.
- Partner with stakeholders to capture requirements, define KPIs/metrics, and translate business needs into analytics solutions.
- Monitor data quality, identify trends, and deliver insights that support decision-making.
- Document report logic, data flows, and application behavior to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
- Work collaboratively across teams to deliver accurate, timely analytics in a fast-paced environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Active and maintained "SECRET" federal or DoD security clearance (required).
- Minimum 1 year supporting reporting, data analysis, or business analysis functions.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred — or an additional four years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with data sources such as SharePoint and SQL databases.
- Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards; familiarity with DAX and Power Query.
- Experience with or aptitude for building Power Apps and using Power Automate to automate workflows.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver in a security-conscious, compliance-driven environment.
Nice to Have
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Prior experience supporting defense, security, or government programs.
- Familiarity with data security and handling classified/controlled information procedures.
- Experience with additional BI tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
