About the role
The Security Engineering Governance & Data Analyst will provide data-driven reporting, executive dashboards, and governance support to help leadership monitor the performance, financials, and operational health of technology and security initiatives. You’ll partner with technology, finance, and business stakeholders to synthesize complex operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and risk management for the confidential client.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze technology spending, consumption trends, and cost drivers to increase transparency and support financial management.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and optimize technology investments in line with business priorities.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance executive-level dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that highlight operational, financial, and technical outcomes.
- Translate complex data sets into concise insights and recommendations for leadership.
- Monitor and report on program and project status — tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes.
- Support governance processes by providing detailed reporting and analysis for planning, risk assessment, and decision-making.
- Track portfolio performance metrics and operational health indicators to surface emerging risks and opportunities.
- Serve as a collaborative partner to finance, technology, and business teams to ensure alignment and clarity across organizational priorities.
- Provide analytical subject-matter support for planning, reporting, and governance activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in cybersecurity management or cybersecurity project oversight.
- Demonstrated experience delivering data-driven reporting, dashboards, and governance support for technology initiatives.
- Strong understanding of financial management for technology projects and the ability to analyze cost, consumption, and ROI drivers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Prior experience in the financial services sector is highly preferred.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex technical and financial data into executive-ready reports and recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable working across technology, finance, and business teams.
- Proven track record of supporting governance, tracking program risk, and producing actionable performance metrics.
