Overview
Confidential Client (Information Technology & Services) is hiring a Data Analyst to support enterprise data requests, automation, and data quality efforts within a cloud-based environment. This is a contract role (Hybrid — three days onsite) based in Trenton, NJ. The team relies on Snowflake, Python, and AWS to deliver reliable, production-ready data solutions and automation.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, write, debug, and optimize complex Snowflake SQL to fulfill ad-hoc and recurring enterprise data requests.
- Review and interpret existing Python and SQL code to troubleshoot issues and ensure automation aligns with business logic.
- Build and maintain Python-based automation to streamline recurring support tasks and ticket resolution.
- Perform data profiling, validation, and discrepancy analysis across Snowflake and AWS-hosted sources.
- Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and deliverables into reproducible scripts and queries.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps across enterprise datasets.
- Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities to optimize or automate processes.
- Support data operations and maintain data integrity within the Project Nexus ecosystem (or equivalent enterprise platform).
- Document technical solutions, data analysis processes, and remediation steps; communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake SQL: scripting, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
- 3+ years programming in Python for data analysis and automation.
- 3+ years working with and reviewing complex SQL and Python codebases.
- 3+ years experience in data analysis, profiling, and validation.
- Experience creating automation to resolve recurring support requests or tickets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to data accuracy and lineage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present technical findings to business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States; able to commute to Trenton, NJ for onsite days.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience working with AWS cloud services in data workflows.
- Prior involvement in enterprise data modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks, monitoring, and alerting.
- Experience with deployment/orchestration tools for Python-based automation.
Location & Work Model
- Work location: Trenton, NJ (based on authoritative job location).
- Work model: Hybrid — three days onsite per week. Remote-only candidates will not be considered for this posting.
