Responsibilities

Confidential client is seeking a Data Analyst / Tableau Developer to design, build, and maintain data visualizations and reports that drive operational insights across IT and business teams.

• Design and develop end-to-end Tableau dashboards that translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights
• Write custom SQL queries to support reporting, troubleshooting, and ad hoc analysis
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define data requirements for areas such as system health (response time, errors), business impact on customer orders, and code quality metrics
• Establish and maintain reporting standards and best practices for the analytics team
• Serve as a thought leader: promote curiosity, ownership, and continuous process improvement in analytics work
• Present findings and support the storytelling behind the data to non-technical stakeholders
• Pivot quickly to meet evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills — able to craft custom queries to explore and aggregate data (CTEs/window functions are a plus)
• Deep Tableau expertise — build dashboards from scratch and apply visualization best practices
• Analytical mindset — investigative, curious, and proactive in problem solving
• Strong verbal and written communication — comfortable asking clarifying questions and presenting results to stakeholders
• Self-directed and accountable — able to own projects and deliver with minimal supervision

Nice-to-Have

• Splunk experience (SPL) — creating ad hoc reports and dashboards is highly desirable
• Familiarity with IT systems monitoring or observability tools (metrics, logs, traces)

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $48.00/hr — $69.00/hr (hourly). This is the good-faith range believed to be applicable at posting; final pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and other lawful factors.
• Benefits (for eligible employees): medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, 401(k), life, disability & ADD insurance. Paid time off for salaried personnel; hourly eligibility based on law or contract.
