What You’ll Do

This contract Data Analyst role focuses on structured data work and annotation to support model development and reporting. Responsibilities include:

• Work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching
• Analyze datasets to find conclusions, identify trends, and surface anomalies
• Assist in annotation and labeling of text and image data for AI training and model development
• Perform quality checks and ensure labeling consistency against guidelines
• Document processes, tagging rules, and findings to support reproducibility
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and project managers to meet project timelines

Qualifications

• Basic experience in data analysis (entry-level candidates welcome)
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for working with data
• Comfortable with repetitive, high-accuracy tasks
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (per source)
• Prior experience with annotation/labeling for model development is a plus

Skills & Tools

• Experience in data annotation, particularly for text and image formats
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets)
• Familiarity with annotation tools or platforms is a plus
• Clear written communication and basic documentation skills
• Ability to follow labeling guidelines precisely

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay rate: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
• Employment type: CONTRACTOR
• Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5x the base hourly rate for hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state/local law
• Final offer within the range will depend on skills, education and experience
• Some contract roles may be eligible for additional benefits depending on engagement terms
