What You’ll Do

Our confidential client is hiring a hands‑on Data Analyst (IT/Business Analyst hybrid) to support corporate business operations in Valencia (Santa Clarita), CA. You will build and maintain advanced, data‑driven models and reports that inform operational decisions and improve accounts receivable and cash collection outcomes.

  • Create and maintain advanced models and spreadsheets with complex formulas and business rules
  • Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets using AS400/SQL queries and other tools
  • Build customized reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare management reports that highlight operational results and trends
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve order review accuracy and reduce write‑offs
  • Support implementation and testing of new software solutions as needed
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects with aggressive deadlines
  • Complete special projects that support process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • BS in Business, Finance, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and working with large datasets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, nested IFs, lookup formulas); VBA macros experience is highly preferred
  • Experience writing queries in AS400 / SQL or similar systems
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present findings clearly to stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and be accountable for deliverables
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) is required

Location & onsite requirements (important): This position is 100% onsite at the Valencia (Santa Clarita), CA corporate office (91355). Applicants must already live locally (within ~45 minutes of 91355) — the client is not offering relocation and will prioritize local candidates.
