Position overview

Confidential Client is seeking a junior Data Analyst to support client analytics and business-systems engagements. This is a full-time, contract role available to candidates located in the United States (remote/telecommute). The role focuses on preparing, validating, and analyzing data; assisting with system configuration and testing; developing reports and visualizations (Tableau); and maintaining clear documentation while learning the client's ERP platforms and delivery methodology.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Analysts on client engagements with data mapping, system configuration, documentation, and testing in ERP environments.
• Own well-defined, lower-complexity workstreams with oversight from a Lead Analyst.
• Learn core ERP platforms and delivery processes through paired/mentored work.
• Maintain accurate client-facing documentation and internal delivery records.
• Participate in team check-ins and knowledge-sharing to distribute institutional knowledge.
• Evaluate organizational methods and produce specifications for multiple data sources.
• Provide quality assurance on imported data.
• Gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Analyze data to answer stakeholder questions, identify trends, and recommend performance or data-quality improvements.
• Create and maintain interactive visualizations (Tableau) that integrate multiple data sources.
• Assist with data acquisition and integration using established technology stack, standards, and design patterns.
• Support cross-divisional collaboration and perform other duties as assigned.

Required skills & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of internship or work experience mining and analyzing data.
• High competency building and designing Tableau visualizations.
• Strong SQL or Excel skills; ability to learn additional analytic tools.
• Proven analytic skills: data mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
• Comfortable creating reports and interpreting metrics.

Preferred experience

• Prior exposure to ERP or other business-systems platforms (agribusiness systems a plus).
• Familiarity with basic data/reporting tools beyond Excel (SQL, BI tooling).
• Exposure to data engineering fundamentals (pipelines, APIs, scripting); Python familiarity is a plus but not required.
• Background in agriculture is a plus.
