Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Data Analyst to join a Reporting Partnerships team focused on client reporting and measurement. This role builds and maintains Python- and SQL-based reporting solutions, performs daily QA, partners with client-facing teams, and drives automation and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong SQL and Python skills, 2+ years of business analytics or performance reporting experience, and the ability to translate technical work for non-technical audiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and maintain Python-based client reporting used for client measurement and analysis.
  • Build and adapt Python scripts and reporting templates for both standard and custom client needs.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain SQL-based reports and data aggregates.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance to ensure data and reporting accuracy.
  • Act as a resource for teammates on SQL and Python questions; share best practices.
  • Improve code quality, consistency, and reporting processes across the team.
  • Translate technical analysis and solutions into clear, client-facing explanations.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and speed up reporting workflows.
  • Work independently on scripting updates and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting speed, accuracy, and client value.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in business analytics, performance reporting, or a closely related function.
  • Strong SQL skills — ability to write and evaluate complex queries across multiple tables and relationships.
  • Fluency in Python with hands-on experience building, maintaining, and debugging scripts for data processing or reporting.
  • Experience in a client-facing role or working closely with stakeholders to explain technical results to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Ownership mindset with a willingness to proactively improve processes and code quality.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience automating reporting pipelines and operational workflows.
  • Familiarity with testing and QA approaches for data pipelines and reports.
  • Prior experience working on reporting for healthcare or professional services clients (optional).

Work Arrangement & Employment Type

  • Work arrangement: Primarily Remote within the United States; may include an onsite option at the client’s San Francisco headquarters where applicable.
  • Employment type: Full-time

Compensation & Benefits

  • US total compensation: $77,000–$134,000 (inclusive of salary and equity). Individual offers depend on skills, experience, and other factors.
  • Benefits typically include medical, dental, and vision; 401(k) match; employee stock purchase plan; parental leave; paid time off; and wellness offerings. Exact benefits depend on the hiring organization.
