Role overview
This is a contract Data Analyst role supporting two major system modernization projects. The assignment is expected to last at least 6 months, likely closer to 12 months. The Confidential Client seeks someone who can quickly learn internal systems, contribute independently, and support data analytics, automation, and reporting initiatives.
- Location: Raleigh, NC (hybrid: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote)
- Duration: Contract (6–12 months)

- Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 USD per hour
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries for analysis and reporting.
- Access, manage, and analyze data in Snowflake.
- Build and maintain automation and ETL scripts using Python.
- Use Databricks for data processing and scripting (nice-to-have; trainable with strong Python skills).
- Create dashboards and visualizations in Power BI (DAX experience beneficial).
- Support large-scale system modernization and migration efforts.
- Communicate analysis and findings to stakeholders and team members.
- Rapidly learn business processes, data sources, and project requirements to become an independent contributor.
Required skills
- SQL (non-negotiable) — strong querying and data manipulation experience.
- Python (non-negotiable) — used for automation, scripting, and data workflows.
- Power BI — dashboard development and visualization; DAX experience a plus.
