Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Data Analyst (Python/SQL) for a 6-month assignment based in Cary, NC (Hybrid). This role supports the Healthcare Diagnostics division and focuses on data acquisition, maintenance of data systems, analytics, and reporting to internal stakeholders. Compensation: $31/hr.
What You’ll Do
- Research, analyze, consolidate, and interpret data using statistical and data analytics methods.
- Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Operate and optimize pre-defined tools, applications, and data management systems.
- Produce clear reports and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders (management, customers).
- Solve assigned non-routine tasks and contribute to project milestones with a self-managed, target-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply professional technical or business methods to analyze operational processes, market environment, and equipment performance.
- Implement and follow established guidelines, methods, and tools for data management and reporting.
- Support process or system improvements and provide functional advice to colleagues as required.
- Deliver short- to medium-term targets and document findings to support decision-making.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s entry).
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and database work.
- Familiarity with statistical/data analytics methods and preparing actionable reports.
- Experience maintaining databases or data systems and using data tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in healthcare diagnostics or related healthcare data environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage short- to medium-term deliverables.
- Experience with reporting tools and data visualization (if available) is beneficial.
