Role Overview

We’re partnering with a Confidential Client in Financial Services to hire a Data Analyst, Private Markets (hybrid — New York City). This role sits on the Data Operations team and focuses on ensuring accuracy and operational delivery of private markets data used by institutional investors and asset managers.

What You’ll Do

  • Support document processing workflows — intake, review, and process LP documents (capital account statements, PCAPs, call/distribution notices) so data moves through the pipeline accurately and on time.
  • Monitor and triage automated outputs — identify exceptions or anomalies and escalate or resolve in partnership with senior operations staff.
  • Reconcile extracted data against source documents, resolve conflicting data points, and maintain high-quality client deliverables.
  • Become a subject-matter resource for private market data points (cost basis, valuations, operating metrics) and assist with data manipulation and enrichment.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses on data trends to inform product and service improvements and highlight automation opportunities.
  • Capture and document operational logic, workflow rules, and exception-handling procedures for operations and product teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Data, Product, and Engineering to communicate operational needs and contribute to the product roadmap.
  • Support onshore and offshore delivery teams to ensure work is accurate and on schedule.
  • Prepare operational summaries and data quality reports to support client-facing teams during onboarding and ongoing communications.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ years of experience in fund operations, fund administration, private market data, or a related financial services role (relevant internships considered).
  • Familiarity with private market data and fund-level / asset-level concepts: cost basis, valuations, capital calls, distributions, and fund financial statements.
  • Strong operational mindset — process-oriented, organized, and able to self-manage in a hybrid or remote-capable environment.
  • High attention to detail — accuracy and clean data are foundational.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to work across teams and time zones.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments; able to research and resolve open-ended product and operational questions.
  • Comfortable with structured data in Excel or similar tools; exposure to SQL or data platforms is a plus.
  • Collaborative — proven ability to work effectively with onshore/offshore teams and across functions.

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive pay (Confidential Client lists $70,000 - $100,000 + bonus)
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Flexible PTO and parental leave
  • 401(k)
  • Flexible work-from-home policy (hybrid New York City model)
  • Home office stipend + Wi‑Fi reimbursement
  • Employee Assistance Program, gym reimbursement, and education assistance
  • Commuter benefits
