Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking a curious, practical Data Analyst to help turn data into clear, usable answers. This part-time, TELECOMMUTE (remote) role supports cross-functional teams by analyzing trends, building reports and dashboards, and communicating insights so stakeholders can make better decisions. You’ll work with SQL, Excel, and BI tools to improve reporting and influence outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and areas that need attention.
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and recurring business insights.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into practical, actionable analyses.
• Clean, organize, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Use SQL, Excel, and data visualization/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) to explore and present findings.
• Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate across teams to support data-driven decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing reports, processes, and how data is used.
• Own your analyses and ask for context or clarification when needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong SQL and Excel skills.
• Experience with a visualization or BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to explain complex information simply and clearly.
• Good communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across functions.
• A naturally curious mindset — you like to understand the “why” behind the numbers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python or another programming language used for data analysis.
• Experience working with large or complex datasets.
• Knowledge of statistics and basic analytical techniques.
• Experience with cloud data platforms or modern data warehouses.
• Experience in the client’s industry or with similar business problems.

• Job location type: TELECOMMUTE (remote). Candidates located in or near Portland, OR are welcome; remote applicants must be authorized to work in the United States as required by law.
