The Role
Confidential Client is seeking a Data Analyst with strong data management and foundational AI experience to support financial data analysis, governance, and AI-enabled analytics initiatives. This full-time role based in Phoenix, AZ will collaborate with product owners, engineers, data stewards, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate, governed, and actionable data assets across cloud platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze and interpret large financial datasets to produce actionable insights and support business decisions.
- Support data management programs: data quality, metadata, data lineage, master data, and lifecycle processes.
- Help implement and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls to meet regulatory requirements.
- Build, maintain, and validate dashboards, reports, KPIs, and analytical models using BI tooling.
- Assist with data migration, integration, ETL, automation, and process optimization on cloud platforms.
- Prepare and govern datasets for AI/ML projects; assist with data labeling, validation, and model data pipelines.
- Gain hands-on exposure to LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic AI workflows while supporting prototype and production features.
- Monitor and help improve data and AI solution performance, reliability, and compliance in production.
- Document data dictionaries, business rules, governance processes, and operational procedures.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with data analysis, data governance, data quality management, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong SQL skills for querying, transformation, and data validation.
- Familiarity with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud data platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP); AWS or Azure experience is a plus.
- Basic or hands-on knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including LLMs and RAG.
- Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data stewardship practices.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, written/verbal communication, and stakeholder collaboration.
Compensation & Employment Details
- Employment type: FULL_TIME
- Location: Phoenix, AZ (on-site / hybrid arrangements will be discussed with selected candidates)
- Salary range (base): $100,000 - $110,000 per year
