Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a part-time Data Analyst to join a mission-focused data team supporting Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) at Osprey Landing, FL. This entry-level role (minimum 1 year experience) contributes directly to operational decision-making by querying, engineering, and analyzing complex datasets to produce actionable intelligence and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new data sources and improve methods for data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Gather and translate customer requirements into analytic deliverables
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical data issues
- Design algorithms and data manipulation routines using R, Python, C++, JavaScript, Go, and similar languages
- Build data tools and self-service capabilities that enable data consumers to monitor and report
- Improve data quality through metadata, lineage, and business definition practices
- Collaborate with data teammates to produce qualitative and quantitative products that support SOCOM and AFSOC mission needs
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or equivalent
- Experience performing similar tasks in scope and complexity
- Ability to obtain at least "Interim Secret" clearance within 30 days of hire (required)
- Eligible to work in the United States for this role (position is US-based, on-site at Osprey Landing, FL)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Python, Power BI, Advana, or Envision
- Top Secret clearance eligible for SCI preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
