What You’ll Do

As a Data Analyst for our confidential client you will turn raw data into clear, actionable insights that support business decisions and reporting. Typical responsibilities include:

• Work with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into analytics deliverables
• Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources to create reliable datasets
• Build and maintain dashboards and regular reports to track KPIs and trends
• Perform ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions and test hypotheses
• Validate data quality and identify opportunities to improve data collection and processes
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications

Required

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role (reporting, analytics, BI)
• Experience working with datasets to produce reports and dashboards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication — able to present insights to stakeholders
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred (nice-to-have)

• Experience with SQL and at least one analytics tool (BI/dashboard tools or programming language for analysis)
• Prior experience in an IT services, consulting, or technology-focused environment
• Familiarity with data quality practices and ETL concepts

• Location: Oakland, CA (hybrid) — onsite presence expected per client schedule
• Engagement type: Contract (approx. 4+ months, potential to extend)
• Hours: Full-time contractor schedule as defined by the client
