What You’ll Do

This role reports to the Data Science team at our confidential client and is highly cross-functional. You'll turn raw data into clear, actionable answers that inform product, risk, operations, and GTM decisions.

  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and clear next steps
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and drivers
  • Run ad-hoc analyses and experiments to evaluate hypotheses and inform decisions
  • Write and optimize SQL queries against Snowflake for analytics and reporting
  • Use Python and dbt to clean, transform, and model data for analysis
  • Partner with Data Scientists to analyze and monitor production models and investigate anomalies
  • Support recurring model monitoring processes and help investigate changes in model outcomes
  • Communicate findings through data storytelling, visualizations, and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Synthesize analyses into concise reports and recommendations for cross-functional leadership

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or related quantitative role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong SQL skills; experience querying Snowflake preferred
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis (pandas, numpy, or similar)
  • Experience with dbt, data modeling, or ETL/data transformation frameworks is a plus
  • Foundational understanding of statistics and machine learning concepts
  • Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to present findings to cross-functional audiences
  • Collaborative mindset and experience working with product, operations, risk, or GTM teams

  • Competitive base salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually

Final offers are determined by multiple factors including experience, expertise, and location.


Workplace & Location

This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY (typically 3 days/week onsite). Applicants should be able to work onsite as required by the team.
