Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Contract Data Analyst to support business users with recurring and ad hoc analysis. This entry-level contract role focuses on transforming data into actionable insights and clear visualizations that help the business solve day-to-day problems.

Candidates only based in NY will be considered.

What You’ll Do

You will work with business stakeholders to answer operational questions and produce repeatable analysis and dashboards.

• Understand day-to-day business issues that can be clarified with data
• Compile, clean, and analyze datasets to support business questions
• Produce clear visualizations and reports to communicate findings
• Deliver recurring metrics and ad hoc analyses on request
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate assumptions and findings

Qualifications

Minimum required qualifications for consideration:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent experience
• 1–2 years of hands-on data analysis experience
• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and manipulation

Preferred (nice-to-have) skills — good to have but not mandatory:

• Experience creating dashboards or visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
• Strong communication skills for translating analysis into business recommendations
