What You’ll Do

The Data Analyst (MIH Grant) will support a Maternal Health Innovation Program by collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting program and clinical data. You’ll work with clinical teams, operations, IS, and research partners to ensure accurate, timely data used for program implementation, evaluation, quality improvement, and grant reporting.

  • Monitor and validate data integrity for program and clinical datasets
  • Build and maintain reporting infrastructure and dashboards for program metrics
  • Extract, transform, and load data from EHRs and external sources for analysis
  • Produce routine and ad-hoc reports to meet grant and stakeholder requirements
  • Support data exchanges between the site, program partners, and the Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
  • Assist with program evaluation, measure definition, and quality improvement projects
  • Document data workflows, data dictionaries, and reporting procedures
  • Troubleshoot data issues and collaborate to implement process improvements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Public Health, Health Information Management, Computer Science, Statistics, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare data analytics, reporting, clinical informatics, or quality improvement
  • Experience working with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with REDCap, SQL, and reporting or data visualization tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate technical results clearly to clinical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting grant-funded programs or program evaluation
  • Familiarity with clinical measures, quality improvement methodologies, and health data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
  • Experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Experience with scripting or automation (Python, R) for data pipelines

Skills & Tools

  • SQL (querying, joins, aggregation)
  • REDCap data collection and exports
  • EHR data extraction and familiarity with Epic data structures (preferred)
  • Data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration

Compensation & Other Information

  • Pay Range (as provided): $59,446.40 - $86,646.56 per year
  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Location: Greenville, NC (on-site or as defined by the client)
  • Offers contingent on successful completion of background checks, pre-employment screenings, and required verifications as per client policy
