Position overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Data Analyst to turn agency data into clear, actionable insight. This hybrid role (Miami, FL) supports mission-driven IT work by building reports, dashboards, and analyses that help leaders measure performance, identify trends, and make data-informed operational decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple agency systems and sources.
- Build dashboards and recurring reports to track mission performance and KPIs.
- Perform statistical and exploratory analysis to surface trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Translate stakeholder questions into clear, testable analytical requirements.
- Document data definitions, sources, methodology, and assumptions to ensure repeatability and governance.
- Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including briefings to leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a data analysis role.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Working knowledge of Python or R for analysis and automation.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong data quality discipline.
- Experience supporting government or other regulated environments preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with statistical testing and time-series analysis.
- Experience with ETL workflows and data modeling.
- Prior work on mission-driven or federal/state/local government projects.
Work location & schedule
- Hybrid position based in Miami, FL. Expect a mix of in-office and remote work as defined by the Confidential Client's policies.
