What You’ll Do
- Work as a Data Analyst/Software Specialist on mission-focused analytics applications in a classified environment (Melbourne, FL).
- Design, build, test and maintain full-stack web applications (UI, backend services, APIs, and data integrations) that support operational requirements.
- Implement responsive front-end interfaces using modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and prioritize usability and accessibility.
- Develop secure, scalable backend services and application logic using languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or .NET.
- Deploy and operate applications in AWS using cloud-native services and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Integrate databases and data stores (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB) and tune systems for performance and reliability.
- Apply software engineering best practices: code reviews, automated tests, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with system engineers, cloud engineers, cyber teams, and mission stakeholders to translate operational needs into production solutions.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation (architecture diagrams, deployment/runbooks, developer guides).
- Present technical updates and briefings to stakeholders and adapt solutions to evolving operational priorities.
- Maintain familiarity with the C2S Access Portal (CAP) and operate in high-side AWS environments per security requirements.
- Follow required security processes and obtain/maintain recommended certifications (Security+, DoD IAT Level II) as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance (required). Candidates without an active TS/SCI will not be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 2+ years, OR 8+ years directly related experience without a degree.
- Demonstrated experience building full-stack web applications and data integrations.
- Hands-on experience with at least one modern front-end framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Backend development experience with Python, Java, Node.js, or .NET.
- Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS; familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB or similar).
- Practical application of CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and code review processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder briefings.
- Ability to work in classified environments and travel periodically to Patrick Space Force Base as required.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience supporting DoD or national security programs.
- Familiarity with C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS operations.
- Security certifications (Security+, DoD IAT Level II) already obtained.
- Experience with data visualization or dashboarding libraries and tools.
- Experience operating in Agile development environments and working with cross-functional mission teams.
