Data Analyst
The Data Analyst at Confidential Client is responsible for interpreting and analyzing data to provide actionable insights that support regulatory compliance, product safety, and business decision-making. This role involves managing routine and ad hoc reports, performing signal detection for risk management, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity to drive process improvements across the organization.

Accountabilities
- Accountable for managing routine and ad-hoc reports that support regulatory, quality, and marketing decisions.
- Lead signal detection and analysis to inform product safety, risk management, and risk/benefit evaluations.
- Exercise sound judgment when evaluating data and making recommendations that may affect regulatory compliance.
- Support audits and inspections by providing timely, accurate data and documentation.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver clear, actionable findings.
- Keep current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging analytics tools.
Responsibilities
- Produce timely, accurate regular and ad-hoc reports for regulatory, quality, safety, and commercial teams.
- Develop and validate queries and ETL processes that deliver reproducible results from source systems.
- Support Medical Writing and safety reporting by preparing line listings for PSURs, PADERs and related safety deliverables; analyze listings for trends and potential signals.
- Serve as gatekeeper for data—ensure provenance, accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Identify, document, and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system implementations and upgrades.
- Extract, transform, and load data from various internal systems and external sources.
- Perform other duties as required to support analytics and safety programs.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL and Python.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of relational databases and ETL concepts is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with safety reporting, signal detection, or pharmacovigilance-related datasets is a plus.

- Compensation Range: $58,757 – $76,000 (annual).
