Position overview

Confidential Client (Telecommunications) is working with Careertakes to hire a Data Analyst in Louisville, KY. We’re seeking a detail-oriented analyst who turns raw data into clear, actionable insights — forecasts, dashboards and reports that help leadership optimize resources and operations.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct data analysis to support a variety of analytic solutions that inform key business decisions
• Capture, document and maintain data definitions, business rules and requirements to support data quality
• Integrate and transform data from multiple internal sources to produce required data elements
• Create forecasts, standard and ad-hoc reports, and interactive dashboards for management and stakeholders
• Interpret results to identify operational trends, opportunities and business impact
• Prepare and present data-driven findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Identify and help implement improvements for data accuracy and completeness; support audits and compliance checks

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, statistics, computer science or related field — or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting or a closely related role
• Demonstrated knowledge of SQL for querying and data extraction
• Proficiency with Excel (functions, pivot tables) and experience producing presentations for management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar)
• Prior work in telecommunications, resource optimization, operations or forecasting analytics
• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data quality frameworks
• Experience building automated reports and dashboarding solutions
