What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Data Analyst to turn raw data into clear, actionable insights that support business decisions and client projects. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Los Angeles, CA.
- Build and maintain reports and interactive dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) to track KPIs and client metrics.
- Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources using SQL and Python/R; manipulate and analyze datasets in Excel.
- Design and maintain data models and perform basic statistical and trend analyses to surface actionable findings.
- Translate business questions into technical requirements, queries, visualizations, and written summaries.
- Present results and recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data needs and support client engagements.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve data quality and analytics processes.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome entry-level and early-career candidates who bring strong analytical thinking and a desire to grow in a client-focused analytics role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with basic statistics and data modeling concepts.
- Proficiency with SQL and Excel; working knowledge of Python or R.
- Experience or familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to present findings to varied audiences.
- Must be able to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA.
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior internship or project experience delivering dashboards or reports for stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and KPI design.
- Interest in process improvement and automating repetitive analyses.
Location & Schedule
- Location: On-site — Los Angeles, CA (this role requires physical presence at the client’s Los Angeles office).
- Employment type: Full-time; standard business hours with occasional flexibility for client meetings.
