What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a motivated SE-2 Junior Data Analyst to support modeling, simulation, and test & evaluation activities for defense programs based in Florida. You will assist engineers and test managers by reducing, processing, analyzing, and visualizing data produced by simulations and live test events to inform system assessment and reporting.
- Provide test data reduction and technical support across a broad developmental test & evaluation portfolio
- Perform data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization to support test planning, execution, and reporting
- Assist in verification and validation of models and simulations used during testing
- Build, run, and maintain scripts and small tools to automate data processing and analysis workflows
- Prepare test artifacts including test cases, procedures, technical reports, and metrics
- Coordinate schedules, logistics, and pre/post-test activities with engineering teams and contractors
- Support senior engineers in interactions with program offices, other services, and vendors
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (computer science, engineering, mathematics) OR equivalent experience (0–3 years); additional experience may substitute for degree
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (active Top Secret clearance is strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with data analysis and modeling/simulation tools (examples: C++, Python, MATLAB, CAMEO)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); comfortable using spreadsheets, pivot tables, and related tools
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and to interface with prime contractors
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience with R, SQL, data visualization tools, and modern software development practices
- Familiarity with Agile development or Agile test & evaluation processes
- Prior adjudicated SECRET or higher clearance
