What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Data Analyst (Associate, Full-time) to work remotely across the United States. In this role you will turn insurance data into actionable insights, build repeatable analyses and reports, and partner with business stakeholders to support decision-making.

• Analyze and validate insurance datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for business improvements
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate KPIs and operational metrics
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data for analysis
• Support ad-hoc analytic requests from underwriting, claims, finance, and operations teams
• Document analysis, assumptions, and data definitions to ensure reproducibility and clarity
• Collaborate with data engineers and product owners to improve data quality and reporting processes

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants who demonstrate strong analytical instincts, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• 1+ years of hands-on data analysis experience (insurance industry experience preferred)
• Proficiency with SQL for querying and joining complex datasets
• Experience producing reports and visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills for analysis and ad-hoc reporting
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to present results to business partners
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Have / Preferred

• Experience with Python/R for data analysis or automation
• Familiarity with insurance domain concepts (policy, claims, underwriting, exposure)
• Experience working with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
