Overview
This is a fully remote, full-time Data Analyst II role supporting a Confidential Client in the healthcare space (prescription and health service management). The Data Analyst II will own recurring reporting and ad-hoc analysis within a defined manufacturer program or internal domain, ensuring data accuracy, operational insight, and compliance when handling sensitive health data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop deep subject-matter expertise in an assigned manufacturer program or internal domain (enrollment funnel, payer details, fulfillment pathways, and data sources).
- Own scheduled reporting (weekly, monthly) and validate data before distribution.
- Investigate questions end-to-end by tracing claim adjudication, prior authorizations, prescription changes, and fulfillment records to provide timely, actionable answers.
- Document metric definitions and reporting logic to ensure consistency across stakeholders.
- Build dashboards and reports in Looker; support BI platform migration efforts.
- Handle protected health information (PHI) following the minimum-necessary principle and applicable compliance requirements.
- Communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders and provide context with recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Typically 2–4 years of hands-on data analysis experience (bachelor’s degree preferred but not required).
- Strong SQL skills beyond basic queries (window functions, aggregations, joins).
- Proven validation and data-quality assurance skills.
- Ability to translate vague or high-level questions into clear, answerable analyses.
- Clear written and verbal communication for summarizing results to business partners.
- Intellectual curiosity about healthcare and pharmacy operations.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Experience with pharmacy, claims, or payer data.
- Familiarity with dbt transformation logic.
- Looker / LookML experience.
- Snowflake warehouse experience.
- Python for analytics or data validation.
- Client-facing analytics or cross-functional partnership experience.
