What You’ll Do

You will design, build, and maintain reporting, dashboards, and data-warehouse solutions that support decision-making for Power Grid Operations. Work closely with internal customers to gather requirements, automate manual processes, and deliver medium- to complex-scale BI solutions.

  • Work with internal customers to define reporting and dashboard requirements
  • Design and maintain reporting warehouses or develop localized warehouses as needed
  • Aggregate and transform data from multiple sources to automate business processes
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Create and maintain tabular models and cubes in PowerPivot or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
  • Write medium- to complex-level SQL against Oracle or SQL Server databases
  • Apply data warehousing fundamentals to model and document data solutions
  • Design database structures, create tables/views, and develop stored procedures
  • Build Power Automate and/or Power Apps workflows to streamline processes
  • Use Python for data manipulation, automation, or analytical tasks
  • Document warehouses and solutions to support knowledge transfer and cross-training
  • Coordinate with IT and other internal teams (Finance, PMO, Resource Management) to deliver solutions
  • Apply project management fundamentals and, where applicable, Agile practices to drive initiatives to completion

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (per posting)
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and report development
  • Strong SQL experience (Oracle or SQL Server)
  • Experience with SSRS and SSAS (tabular or multi-dimensional models)
  • Practical knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals and database design
  • Experience with Power Automate and/or Power Apps
  • Experience programming in Python
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving ability
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to accept employment without sponsorship
  • Ability to work in or relocate to Raleigh, NC (on-site or as required by the client)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Agile fundamentals
  • Report development, metrics and analytics experience
  • Experience with Primavera P6 Project Portfolio Management application
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Experience with Teams and SharePoint
  • Experience using AI tools to augment analytics and automation
  • Demonstrated ability to document solutions and support knowledge transfer

Compensation & Contract Details

  • Pay rate: $48.00 - $53.00 per hour (W-2 contract)
  • Term: 3-year contract with potential for extension
  • Benefits: No PTO or standard benefits; ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment
  • Employment type: Contractor (W-2)
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to accept employment without sponsorship

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Location: Raleigh, NC (role supports Power Grid Operations — on-site presence expected as needed)
  • Candidates should be able to commute to or relocate to Raleigh, NC if required by the client
