Data Analyst II
The Data Analyst II at Confidential Client is responsible for designing and deploying analytics and visualization solutions by analyzing raw data from multiple sources. This role involves developing reports, creating dashboards, managing business intelligence environments, and collaborating with business partners to drive strategic decision-making through actionable insights. What You’ll Do
- Design and deploy analytics and visualization solutions to support decision-making.
- Obtain and analyze raw data from multiple disparate sources to answer questions from internal or external stakeholders.
- Develop reports and analytics according to requestor requirements; produce concise summaries and clear recommendations.
- Write SQL queries to analyze and extract data from databases and data warehouses.
- Create flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate how data will be modeled, sourced, transformed, stored, and presented.
- Compile and analyze data to interpret trends, fluctuations, and other changes.
- Contribute to the management and design of business intelligence and data warehouse environments, including data sources, security, and metadata.
- Consult with business partners to challenge current processes and define reporting opportunities.
- Unearth insights from large and diverse datasets to tell compelling stories via dashboards and visualizations.
- Self-track and manage projects and tasks using agile tools.
- Continuously improve data models and analytics processes; participate in technology and process selection by contributing requirements, use cases, and design input.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as a data analyst or in a closely related role with hands-on experience in business intelligence and data manipulation.
- Technical skills:
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
- Experience working with business intelligence and data warehouse concepts.
- Ability to design data models, flowcharts, and diagrams to document data flows and transformations.
- Analytical skills: Ability to work with large amounts of data, interpret trends, and draw actionable conclusions.
- Communication: Present complex analysis clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred / Helpful Experience
- Prior work contributing to BI and data warehouse environments (security, metadata management).
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations that drive strategic decisions.
- Familiarity with agile project management tools and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to consult with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (in compliance with NJ pay-transparency law): $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 USD (base pay).
- Confidential Client considers factors such as job scope, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions when making offers. This range covers base pay only and excludes bonuses or other incentives.
- Benefits package (typical for full-time employees): Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with employer match, FSA/HSA options, Company-paid Group Term Life Insurance, AD&D, and LTD.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid work model with an expectation to work a minimum of 2 days per week onsite in Newark, NJ.
- This role is based in Newark, NJ (hybrid). Candidates must be able to commute to the Newark office as required.

- Employment Type: Full-time.
