What You’ll Do

You will join an established team responsible for internal and external quality control of GIS and mapping services used by customers, internal analysts, and field operations teams. Your work will help ensure accurate mapping and reliable spatial data for operational decision-making.

• Perform quality control (QC) and validation of GIS data and map products
• Visualize and inspect spatial data in ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro
• Verify attribute and spatial accuracy; identify and document data issues
• Support data ingestion and update workflows, including tracking corrections
• Produce QC reports and communicate findings to analysts and field teams
• Follow established data standards and contribute to process improvements
• Collaborate with the Data Analyst Supervisor and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Minimum requirements (must-haves):

• Bachelor’s degree (per job posting)
• Hands-on experience with ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro
• Strong attention to detail and an aptitude for quality control
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

• Prior experience performing GIS data QA/QC or mapping validation
• Familiarity with common GIS data formats and attribute schema standards
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new tools and processes

Compensation & Employment Type

• Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Employment Type: Full-time

This position is based in Louisville, KY (on-site). Local candidates or those able to relocate to Louisville are encouraged to apply.

About the Team & Reporting

This role reports to the Data Analyst Supervisor. You’ll work closely with GIS analysts and field operations teams to ensure mapping products meet quality and operational standards.
