Data Analyst I

What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Data Analyst I to support genotypic data generation, integrity, delivery, and downstream formatting for customer reporting and analysis. This is an operations-focused role that works closely with laboratory and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely data transfers and quality control.
- Ensure the generation, accuracy, and quality of genotypic data.
- Collaborate with operations to transmit data to customers via LIMS and secure FTP.
- Reformat and structure datasets to support downstream analysis and reporting.
- Compile and organize genotypic datasets for customer deliverables and internal use.
- Perform routine data analysis to detect trends, anomalies, or inconsistencies.
- Conduct quality control reviews; identify data quality issues and escalate for troubleshooting.
- Maintain working knowledge of genotyping analysis software on one platform.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and ISO 17025 quality standards.
- Contribute to process improvement and workflow efficiency initiatives.
- Provide support and input to laboratory technicians as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Schedule & Work Location
- Work schedule: Tuesday – Saturday.
- Regular days off: Sunday – Monday.
- During initial training, schedule will be Monday – Friday.
- Location: Lincoln, NE (on-site role).
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of laboratory operations experience related to genomics or molecular biology.
- Associate’s degree (or higher) in genetics, molecular biology, biology, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with LIMS, FTP-based data delivery, and tools for managing large datasets.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; experience with database or analysis tools a plus.
- Ability to write routine reports and present information to supervisors and cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and willingness to learn new tools and workflows.
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques and genotyping platforms helpful.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established quality standards.
