What You’ll Do
This Data Analyst I role on the Business Analytics & Network Strategy team in Kansas City, MO (Confidential Client) focuses on turning data into actionable business intelligence. You will support production reporting, build dashboards, validate data, and partner with cross-functional teams to identify trends that drive revenue and operational improvements.
- Work closely with the Senior Reporting Manager and the Business Analytics & Network Strategy team to deliver analytics and reporting.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and SQL-based pipelines.
- Oversee collection, processing, and integration of data from multiple sources; ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Develop and implement data models to support performance reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
- Translate complex data into clear visualizations and executive summaries for non-technical stakeholders.
- Partner with Technology, Operations, HR, Marketing, and Finance to identify opportunities and measure impact.
- Manage multiple assignments and deliver in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in business analytics, data analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data extraction/transformation.
- Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain findings to non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates may also have:
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years’ experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAS).
- 3+ years’ experience with data warehouse and reporting systems (e.g., FIS Business Intelligence, BusinessObjects).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in consumer/retail banking or financial services.
- Familiarity with network strategy, branch/market analytics, or portfolio performance metrics.
