Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Data Analyst I to join the Business Intelligence & Strategy function in Aldine / Houston, TX (onsite). This role delivers reports and dashboards using Power BI, connects to enterprise data sources (including Databricks), and provides timely, accurate insights to stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Workforce Planning, and Safety.

What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards across assigned business units.
- Connect to and query data sources such as Databricks and other enterprise systems.
- Pull, clean, and shape data using Power Query and established SOPs.
- Validate data accuracy and refresh models before publishing or distribution.
- Manage incoming reporting requests independently, tracking timelines and deliverables.
- Present findings and reports clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Escalate complex, multi-layer requests to senior analysts with context and documentation.
- Contribute to team documentation: report logic, recurring processes, and templates.
- Support senior analysts on larger projects (data prep, validation, report components).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field.
- 0–2 years of professional experience in data, analytics, or reporting (internships and co-ops count).
- Proficient in Power BI: connect to data sources, build/maintain data models, develop reports and dashboards.
- Foundational understanding of data modeling concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to produce a report or dashboard that surfaced meaningful KPIs/insights.
- Strong organizational skills: manage multiple requests and deliver on time.
- Clear communicator for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with DAX for calculated columns or basic measures.
- Experience with Databricks or other cloud-based data platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL for basic querying and data exploration.
- Experience following or creating SOPs for data/reporting processes.
- Exposure to construction, trades, or project-based industry data is a plus.
- Experience with Vista by Trimble, ProjectSight, or similar ERP/project management platforms.

- Required: Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Power Query.
- A plus: DAX, Databricks, SQL, Power Automate, Vista by Trimble, ProjectSight.
