Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Data Analyst to turn operational and product data into reliable insights and automated reporting. This role focuses on SQL-driven data preparation, dashboard development, and exploratory analysis to support business stakeholders and leadership across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Extract, clean, and transform data from relational databases, APIs, and flat files to build reliable datasets for analysis.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries (joins, CTEs, window functions) to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and operational reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Perform exploratory and ad-hoc analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Translate business questions into technical requirements and present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain data quality standards, documentation (data dictionaries), and validation checks across reporting pipelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex queries, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Experience building interactive dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Proficiency with Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets), including PivotTables and Power Query.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
- Experience implementing data quality checks and maintaining data dictionaries.
- Ability to automate recurring reports and monitoring.
- Strong communication skills and experience working directly with business stakeholders.
