What You’ll Do

This is a contract Data Analyst role supporting fleet operations and analytics for a Confidential Client in the autonomous-vehicle / technology space. You'll turn operational telemetry and service data into reliable dashboards, KPIs, and actionable insights that improve vehicle readiness, mission success, and operational efficiency.

• Analyze vehicle telemetry, service & maintenance logs, dispatch activity, and other operational datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
• Build, maintain, and improve dashboards, recurring reports, and KPI solutions covering fleet performance, vehicle readiness, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Fleet Ops, Safety, Remote Assist, Engineering, Product) to translate operational needs into measurable analyses and reporting solutions.
• Validate data quality, investigate inconsistencies, and create well-documented, structured datasets to enable self-service analytics.
• Identify and communicate process-improvement opportunities and help automate recurring reporting workflows.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, plus 3+ years of experience in data analysis, BI, reporting, or a related analytics role.
• Strong proficiency with SQL for querying, transforming, and preparing data for reporting.
• Experience building dashboards and KPIs using BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or comparable platforms).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills — able to translate operational questions into measurable insights.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment and partnering closely with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

• Proficiency with Python for data analysis and reporting workflows.
• Familiarity with Databricks or cloud data platforms.
• Prior experience with fleet operations analytics, telemetry data, or safety/performance analysis.
• Experience creating automated reporting pipelines and improving data quality practices.

Details & Compensation

• Employment type: CONTRACTOR
• Estimated duration: ~6 months (may be extended)
• Pay: Hourly rate commensurate with experience. The source posting lists an hourly estimate of $60.69/hr.
• Location: California (onsite or as required by the Confidential Client)
