Overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an entry-level Data Analyst to join their IT team. This hands-on role is ideal for recent graduates, candidates with internship or academic project experience, or those with up to 2 years of relevant experience looking to build practical skills in SQL, Excel, and data visualization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, validate, and organize data from multiple sources.
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Write basic to intermediate SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
- Perform data quality checks and identify inconsistencies or discrepancies.
- Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking.
- Support business teams with ad hoc reporting and data analysis requests.
- Collaborate with analysts, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Document data sources, reporting processes, and analytical findings.
- Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and PivotTables.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of data cleaning and validation concepts.
- Good written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of KPIs, dashboards, and reporting best practices.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Internship experience, academic projects, certifications, or relevant coursework in data analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or a related field.
