What You’ll Do
You will support consultants and brokers by delivering timely, accurate analytics and decision‑support for employee benefits clients. This role blends technical analysis, industry knowledge, and client-facing communication to inform benefit design and pricing decisions.
- Manage and prepare benefit data; perform peer reviews of reports and deliverables
- Run ad‑hoc analyses to support quoting and rate decision processes for self‑funded and fully insured plans
- Partner with carrier/TPA/PBM contacts to gather benefit options, pricing, and illustrations for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability products
- Build clear comparisons and presentations for internal teams and external clients
- Use company software systems and MS Excel to manipulate datasets, model scenarios, and produce client‑ready outputs
- Contribute to team projects and cross‑functional initiatives as needed
- Respond to client questions with analytical insight and industry context
Who You Are / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, computer science, or a related data field
- Strong analytical thinking and technical data skills; proven ability to analyze benefits data and support client decisions
- Proficiency with MS Excel is required (pivot tables, formulas, data cleanup)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to present findings to brokers, consultants, and clients
- Ability to build relationships and work cross‑functionally with internal teams and external partners (carriers, TPAs, PBMs)
- Comfortable working under deadlines in a fast‑paced environment and managing multiple priorities
- Team‑oriented, quick learner, and resourceful in generating creative solutions to changing healthcare challenges
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have
- Prior exposure to the local healthcare marketplace, carriers, PBMs, or TPAs
- Experience producing client illustrations and benefit comparisons across multiple product lines
- Any experience with benefits quoting workflows or rate decision support
