Position overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Data Analyst (contract) to support health information and analytics activities at an acute care hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This is a 26-week, on-site contract assignment (days, 5x8: 08:00–16:30) with competitive weekly pay.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze and validate clinical and operational data to support reporting and decision-making.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards for clinical teams and leadership.
- Work with Epic/charting system data to extract, transform, and load data required for analyses.
- Partner with health information management and clinical stakeholders to define metrics and requirements.
- Troubleshoot data quality issues and recommend data integrity improvements.
- Document analytic methods, assumptions, and processes to support reproducibility and audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field, health information, or related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant data/analytics experience (healthcare experience strongly preferred).
- Experience working with Epic or other clinical charting systems (data extraction or analytics).
- Comfortable with SQL and/or data reporting tools; ability to work with stakeholders to translate clinical needs into data solutions.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

- Pay: $1,580 — $1,771 per week (includes taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements)
