Role overview
Confidential Client (Motor Vehicle Manufacturing) is seeking a Data Analyst to support field performance, quality, and engineering analytics. The role focuses on large-scale telemetry/IoT datasets, predictive and anomaly detection analytics, and building production-ready AI/data solutions. This position works closely with engineering, quality, and cross-functional teams to convert data into actionable engineering improvements.
What you’ll do
- Analyze large technical datasets (telemetry, field/IoT) to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging product issues
- Support product quality investigations, warranty analytics, and root-cause analysis
- Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse artifacts (Databricks, AWS/Azure)
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and custom analytical tools
- Deploy AI/ML models and data-processing tools into production workflows
- Translate analytical findings into engineering recommendations and cross-functional actions
- Create custom solutions (PowerApps, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) for data capture and analyst workflows
- Provide ad-hoc enterprise project support and mentor junior analysts as needed
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in technical data analytics, field quality analysis, or reliability/engineering analytics
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, and Python for large datasets
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI) and developing dashboards/reports
- Familiarity with cloud data services (AWS or Azure) and data warehousing / ETL concepts
- Proven ability to run SQL, Python, and JavaScript for data processing and custom tooling
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card holder)
Preferred / differentiators
- Background in automotive OEMs, EV manufacturers, Tier-1 suppliers, mobility companies, or other industries with telemetry/IoT at scale
- Experience with connected vehicle data, batteries, powertrain systems, or highly complex technical products
- Prior work deploying AI-based solutions (anomaly detection, predictive analytics) to production
- Experience with PowerApps application development or building custom web-based analytical tools
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working across multicultural, cross-functional teams
