Data Analyst, Clinical Analytics and Reporting
The Clinical Data Analyst at Confidential Client's Clinical Analytics & Reporting Team is responsible for designing and delivering analytical insights to support clinical strategy and improve patient outcomes. This role involves managing and analyzing clinical data, creating reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to inform decision-making and drive quality improvement initiatives in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and distribute regular reports and dashboards tracking clinical outcomes, surveillance, and risk mitigation.
- Mine, clean and prepare data from multiple sources and environments to enable accurate analysis.
- Use SQL, R/Python/SAS or similar tools to analyze clinical and operational datasets.
- Build data visualizations and presentation materials (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar) for clinical and operations leadership.
- Translate technical results into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to socialize findings and drive management processes that improve patient care and clinic operations.
- Serve as a subject-matter partner for clinical and methodological questions; support quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 1–2 times per year).
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in an analytic or quantitative field (e.g., epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, public health) strongly preferred. *Bachelor’s + experience or advanced degree is a plus (e.g., 1–2 years relevant experience or a master’s).
Required technical skills
- Demonstrated experience with data management, cleaning, visualization, and presenting results.
- Ability and willingness to learn and develop proficiency in SQL, Tableau, R (or other statistical software), or equivalent tools.
Preferred skills
- Proficiency querying large datasets using SQL (preferred). Experience with R, Python, SAS, or STATA helpful.
- Experience building dashboards and reports in Tableau or PowerBI.
- Prior experience working with clinical data (including EMR/extracted clinical datasets) is strongly preferred.
Professional skills
- Strong written and verbal communication — able to explain complex analyses concisely to varied stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a high-performing, fast-paced team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver precise, leadership-ready work.
Compensation & Location
- Location: Denver, CO (role supports telecommute / remote work arrangements)
- Salary range: $57,784 — $85,000 per year. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and qualifications and complies with applicable local pay transparency laws.
- If hired, pay will meet or exceed any applicable jurisdictional minimums based on exemption status.
