What You’ll Do

This Confidential Client is hiring a Data Analyst to own client-facing reporting, manage portfolio and performance data, and support day-to-day Salesforce administration. You will work closely with Systems and Client Services teams to maintain reporting accuracy and deliver a high-quality client portal experience.

  • Maintain client and account information in portfolio accounting and client reporting systems (current stack includes Advent Portfolio Exchange and Black Diamond).
  • Generate institutional and private client performance reports—both scheduled and ad hoc.
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve discrepancies between reporting and accounting systems.
  • Own client onboarding, reporting setup, and troubleshooting for internal users and clients.
  • Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders to answer questions, resolve issues, and drive client portal adoption.
  • Assist with Salesforce administration: user setup & permissions, page layouts, reports and dashboards, record maintenance, and sandbox testing.
  • Maintain CRM data quality—de-duplication, bulk data loads, and consistent use of custom objects/fields.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integrations moving data between Salesforce and portfolio/reporting systems.
  • Document processes, configurations, and reporting procedures so knowledge is retained within the firm.
  • Participate in evaluating and implementing new systems as the technology stack evolves.

What We’re Looking For (Required Qualifications)

  • 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience (Administrator certification preferred or a commitment to obtain it). Financial Services Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Experience in investment or wealth management, especially account/transaction reconciliation and performance measurement.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets across multiple systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily and month-end deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills — comfortable interfacing directly with clients and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to work with discretion and uphold client confidentiality.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-Have / Preferred

  • Experience with Advent Portfolio Exchange, Black Diamond, or similar portfolio accounting/reporting platforms.
  • Prior experience administering integrations or ETL processes between CRM and portfolio systems.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (or progress toward certification).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Approximate salary: $65,000 - $110,000 (range provided by Confidential Client).
  • Generous medical, dental, and vision insurance.
• 401(k) and profit-sharing options.
  • PTO and professional development opportunities.
  • Opportunity to grow into expanded responsibilities as systems and needs evolve.

Work Environment

  • Full-time role based in Minneapolis, MN. (Local candidates preferred; relocation or remote-work arrangements will be determined by Confidential Client.)
  • Fast-paced, collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality service to institutional and high-net-worth clients.
  • Role reports to the Director of Technology and partners closely with Systems and Client Specialist teams.
