What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is seeking a Data Analyst to support university-wide data needs, reporting, and analytics. You will turn institutional data into reliable insights and scalable data products that inform strategy and operations.

• Complete data requests and deliver reports and dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and other formats
• Query, clean, manipulate, analyze, visualize, and interpret data to support decisions and strategic initiatives
• Build, maintain, and document dashboards, metrics, and recurring reports
• Respond to ad-hoc data and analytics requests across departments
• Map data flows and business processes; perform gap analysis with stakeholders to improve data quality and access
• Apply and follow data governance policies to ensure data integrity, privacy, and sustainability
• Prepare clear presentations and written summaries of findings for technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to scalable, repeatable data processes and documentation to support long-term analytics needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Education, Statistics, Social Work, Public Policy, Business, or a related field — or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience manipulating large datasets and producing analytical outputs (3 years preferred)
• Experience building dashboards and reports, with at least 1 year (3 years preferred) using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar tools
• Experience with analytic/coding tools such as SQL, R, SAS, or equivalent (1+ year; 3+ years preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to gather and translate data request specifications into actionable data products
• Strong analytical thinking and problem decomposition skills
• Effective written and verbal communication; experience presenting findings to stakeholders
• Project coordination skills: able to plan work, set timelines, and drive deliverables to completion

Compensation & Benefits

The Confidential Client provides a full benefits package appropriate for full-time staff, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

The salary range for this role is $53,136 to $77,047 annually. Final compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and internal equity consistent with applicable laws.
