What You’ll Do

The Data Analyst will design, build, and deliver scalable datasets, reports, and analytical solutions that enable data-driven decisions for our confidential client in the telecommunications sector. You will partner with business stakeholders to translate questions into analytics, produce executive-ready insights, and help maintain data quality across cloud platforms.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define data requirements and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Extract, integrate, validate, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources to create trusted datasets.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, data pipelines, and analytical models using BigQuery, Python, and related tools.
  • Design, build, and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations to surface meaningful business insights.
  • Reconcile and validate data across systems to ensure accuracy and integrity; identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies; present findings in clear visualizations and executive summaries.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives, including data warehouse/mart migrations and collaboration with data engineering and IT.
  • Contribute to reusable analytical assets (feature stores, dataset templates) to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Stay current with evolving data technologies and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience building scalable datasets, reporting solutions, and delivering analytics in a business environment.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with cloud-based data platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with large-scale data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse environments.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Advanced experience with Google BigQuery or comparable cloud analytical databases.
  • Solid understanding of relational database design, data modeling, query optimization, and ETL/ELT concepts.
  • Experience integrating multiple source systems into consolidated analytical datasets.
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).

Business & Analytical Skills

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to translate business problems into meaningful analytics.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex, cross-functional problems.
  • Strong communicator; able to present technical findings to non-technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworks.
  • Support experience for enterprise reporting, financial analytics, or executive dashboards.
  • GCP or data analytics professional certifications.

Work Location & Conditions

This role supports remote/telecommute work with collaboration across distributed teams. Occasional participation in virtual and in-person meetings may be required. Work is primarily computer-based.
