Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Data Analyst to join their California-based team. This hands-on role focuses on collecting, cleaning, and transforming data into actionable dashboards and reports to help cross-functional teams make data-driven decisions. This position is well suited for recent graduates or early-career analysts who are eager to learn visualization tools and foundational analytics techniques.
What You’ll Do
- Collect, clean, and organize datasets to prepare for analysis
- Identify trends, correlations, and anomalies using statistical and analytical methods
- Build clear, user-focused dashboards and visualizations using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
- Create concise reports and presentations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Validate data accuracy and perform quality checks to ensure reliable insights
- Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Keep up with analytics best practices, visualization techniques, and new data tools
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative field, data analytics, or related discipline
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; willingness to learn Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for presenting insights to diverse audiences
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in the United States (see Work Authorization & Sponsorship below)
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, academic project, or practical experience in data analysis or visualization
- Familiarity with SQL for querying databases
- Basic knowledge of statistical concepts and exposure to Python or R (a plus, not required)
