Summary
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an entry-level Data Analyst based in California. This role is ideal for a recent Master's graduate or early-career analyst who is strong with Excel and eager to learn modern visualization and query tools (Tableau, Power BI, SQL). You will help turn data into clear, actionable insights that support cross-functional teams across projects in IT Services and IT Consulting.
What You’ll Do
- Collect, clean, and organize datasets to prepare for analysis and reporting
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations using basic statistical and analytical methods
- Build clear dashboards, visualizations, and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or Excel
- Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders to support data-driven decisions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver accurate, timely solutions
- Validate data quality and perform routine checks to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Stay current with data-analysis best practices and new tools
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Master’s degree (any discipline) — open to recent graduates
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and willingness to learn Tableau or Power BI
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to present insights effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- U.S. work authorization required
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Internship, coursework, or project experience in data analysis or visualization
- Familiarity with SQL for querying and managing data
- Basic knowledge of statistical concepts or experience with Python/R (a plus)
