What You’ll Do
This contract role supports a cybersecurity data initiative (the Cybersecurity Data Lakehouse / CyberDW) to centralize Information Security Data (ISDAD), improve data transparency, and establish enterprise data governance and lineage. You will help define, implement, and validate enterprise data quality rules and work closely with data owners, stewards, governance leads, developers, and CDAO stakeholders.
- Partner with data owners, data stewards, and business stakeholders to identify Critical Data Elements (KDEs) and define data quality rules, metrics, and validation requirements.
- Develop and implement data quality rules to monitor, measure, and improve data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across enterprise platforms.
- Perform data profiling, analysis, validation, and reconciliation using SQL and Python to identify and resolve data issues.
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to support QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate data quality results, investigate anomalies, and collaborate with technical teams to remediate issues.
- Support data lineage, metadata management, and data ownership processes in coordination with governance teams.
- Track data quality rule coverage and effectiveness and propose continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with developers and platform teams to implement automated validation, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Data Quality Analyst in enterprise data environments.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying, profiling, and validating large datasets.
- Practical Python experience for data analysis, automation, and validation tasks.
- Hands-on exposure to Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Data Lineage, and Metadata Management.
- Experience with data profiling and validation tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and reference data concepts.
- Proven ability to work with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (DIP) and Collibra Data Quality (CDQ) products.
- Experience implementing data quality rules using governance platforms or rule-based engines.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or other regulated data environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise data lake or lakehouse initiatives.
