Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Data Analyst to join an engineering organization focused on data-first product delivery, value-stream management, and analytics-driven improvement. The role centers on transforming data into actionable insights using Looker/LookML, SQL, and ETL pipelines, and contributing across the software development lifecycle to deliver reliable dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to requirements gathering and document assigned business requirements.
• Design and document analytics solutions and Looker dashboards (LookML).
• Build, maintain, and optimize ETL processes and SQL queries for reporting and analytics.
• Implement and maintain data models and metrics to ensure consistency across reports.
• Participate in coding, integration, and code reviews to preserve system stability and quality.
• Implement test strategies, validate results, and coordinate fixes to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Create user documentation and training materials to support adoption of analytical tools.
• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend preventive measures to improve reliability.
• Maintain clear records of code, tests, and support activities to grow the team knowledge base.

Required Qualifications

• Proficient with Looker / LookML, SQL, and ETL tools/workflows.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
• Experience working through end-to-end SDLC phases from requirements to implementation.
• Comfortable with hands-on coding, testing, and debugging in production environments.

• This position may require relocation and/or travel to the project/work location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data modeling and metrics standardization in BI platforms.
• Familiarity with analytics best practices, data validation, and observability.
• Exposure to AI/ML or predictive analytics initiatives is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated annual compensation: $76,071 to $117,943 (Bernards Township, NJ).
